Street Sweeping Continues in Greater Sudbury

The following is the latest estimated street sweeping schedule, for the City of Greater Sudbury

May 12 - 27, 2014 - part of the Marathon Route, Kingsway, Flour Mill, Downtown and Hospital Area
May 28 - June 3, 2014 - New Sudbury, Minnow Lake and Moonlight Area
June 4 - 9, 2014 - Southend and Copper Cliff Area
June 10 - 12, 2014 - Garson and Falconbridge Area

May 27 - 31, 2014 - Lively and Azilda
June 2 - 8, 2014 - McCrea Heights, Val Caron, Val Therese and Hanmer

City Crews - Estimated Schedule
City crews have swept all sidewalks and boulevards at least once this Spring. Road in Dowling, Levack, Gatchel, parts of the Flour Mill; Donovan; Onaping; the Westend and Copper Cliff have also been swept by City crews. City crews are scheduled to complete sweeping the remaining road sections of Onaping, the West end, Skead and Coniston by the end of next week (May 30) to early the week after (June 4). City crews will move into assist contract sweepers once our work plan is complete.

Historically, street sweeping starts between the end of March to mid-April and is completed by the end of May. However, given the late Spring (rain, slow melt of snow banks, cool temperatures etc.) experienced this year, the City's sweeping program commenced later than usual and will have a later completion date as well.

Citizens with questions about street sweeping or other road maintenance are asked to dial 3-1-1 for municipal services.
