COVID-19 Update – June 11, 2021

As of Friday, June 11, Greater Sudbury will enter step one of the Province’s Roadmap to Reopen. The roadmap outlines a three-step plan to safely and gradually ease public health measures and reopen the province. 

Seven municipal beaches are set to open with lifeguard supervision beginning Saturday, June 19, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.

Below is a list of documented aquatic insects in Bethel Lake:

  • Clams, freshwater (Fingernail or Pea)

  • Clubtails

  • Crawling Water Beetles

  • Darners

  • Deer Flies

  • Earthworms (Aquatic)

  • Flathead Mayflies

  • Greeneyed Skimmers

  • Giant Case Makers

  • Horse Flies

  • Leeches

  • Midges

  • Midges (Biting)

  • Narrowwinged Damselflies

  • Small Squaregills

  • Snails (Lymnaeid, Precadeous, Right Opening & Sunken)

  • Predaceous Diving Beetles

  • Water Mites
