Camping and Overnight Stay

No Unauthorized Camping:

• You cannot camp, lodge, or set up any tents, shelters, or structures in any park without a permit.
• You also cannot place or park any camping trailers unless authorized by a permit.

Permit for Overnight Camping:

• Overnight camping is only allowed in designated camping areas at Ella Lake Park, Centennial Park, or Whitewater Lake Park.
• Overnight camping at Camp Sudaca is permitted if:
  • It is part of a supervised activity led by the City, an educational institution, or a non-profit organization dedicated to skill or leadership development.
  • The General Manager deems the activity appropriate based on factors like event safety, supervision, impact on neighbouring properties, and park preservation.

Permit Compliance:

• If you have a permit under subsection 26(2), you are not violating the Parks By-law as long as you follow the conditions of the permit.
