Water By-Laws

Outdoor Watering By-Law

Lawn and garden watering restrictions are in effect from June 1 until the end of September. If your home address ends with:

  • An odd number, you can water lawns, gardens, trees and shrubs on odd-numbered days of the month.
  • An even number, you can water lawns, gardens, trees and shrubs on even-numbered dates of the month.

The Outdoor Watering Bylaw applies both day and night. First time violations could result in a $300 ticket. Repeat violations could lead to charges under the Provincial Offences Act and a fine of up to $5,000.
