Blezard Valley/Capreol
Both the Blezard Valley and the Capreol systems connect to create one large system.
The Blezard Valley and the Capreol systems are a multi-well groundwater system that service the communities of:
- Hanmer
- Blezard Valley
- Val Therese
- Val Caron
- McCrea Heights
- Azilda
- Chelmsford
- Capreol
Before water is distributed for consumption it is disinfected using chlorine gas, and UV irradiation. Polyphosphate, a corrosion control, is also added to the water along with fluoride to promote oral health, as is mandated by PHSD.
Blezard Valley:
A well field extends approximately 7.5 km from Val Therese to Hanmer with 11 groundwater well pumps situated throughout the area. Distribution piping interconnects the communities, and the system feeds three water storage tanks locate in Val Caron, Azilda and Chelmsford.

Capreol:
The Capreol Well portion of the system draws water from two wells situated on the east side of Greens Lake to service the community of Capreol.
