School Crossing Guard Program

Make a difference in your community. Become a School Crossing Guard! 

The City of Greater Sudbury is hiring a School Crossing Guard for the intersection of Algonquin Road and Field Street and is also seeking relief crossing guards to support routes in New Sudbury, Minnow Lake, Algonquin, Coniston, Azilda and Lively.

School crossing guards are an important part of the community. These dedicated individuals work every school day to protect and assist children walking across the streets of Greater Sudbury.

Locations

Crossing Guards work scheduled shifts, which are coordinated with school bell times in the area where they are stationed. In September 2024, there will be adult crossing guards on duty at the following locations:

Marier and Notre Dame 

Chelmsford

Errington and Main

Coniston

Concession and Second
Concession and Edward

Copper Cliff

Cobalt and Power
School Street

Lively

6th and C
6th and Main

Sudbury

Algonquin and Countryside
Algonquin and Field
