Season Wrap Up- December 8, 2023

Road, Water and Sewer Improvements

The City of Greater Sudbury will continue the road and water/wastewater improvements on Larch Street between Elgin and Lisgar Streets, in Sudbury.

Construction by the City’s contractor, Teranorth Construction & Engineering Ltd. will start in spring 2023 and is expected to be completed in fall 2023.

Work will typically take place during daylight hours, weekend and/or night work may be required.

Final asphalt will be completed in Spring 2024.

Current Construction Details:

  • Surface Asphalt Placement 
  • Permanent Line Painting 
  • Stamped Asphalt Cross Walks
  • Installation of Tactile Warning Surfaces at intersections
  • Miscellaneous Repairs

Project Highlights:

  • Watermain Replacement
  • Sanitary Sewer Replacement and/or Rehabilitation
  • Storm and Drainage Improvements
  • Active Transportation Improvements (2 through lanes reduced to 1 through lane and the introduction of an on street cycle lane)
  • Full Depth Asphalt Removal
  • Supply and Placement of Asphalt
  • Concrete Curb Removal and Replacement (barrier curb to be replaced with a mountable curb to improve accessibility)
  • Driveway/Entrance Restoration
  • Above grade planters to be replaced with at grade trees.
