Season Start-up Notice - April 30, 2024

Road Rehabilitation and Active Transportation Improvements

The City of Greater Sudbury will be continuing road improvements on the Kingsway, between Silver Hills Drive to Falconbridge Road, in Sudbury.

Construction by the City’s Contractor, GIP Interpaving Limited will begin May, 2024 and is expected to be completed by October 2024.

Work will typically take place during daylight hours Monday to Friday. Weekend or night work may be required.

  • Cycle infrastructure upgrades 
  • Installation of new concrete sidewalk 
  • Placement of surface asphalt 
  • Lighting upgrades
  • Traffic signal replacemen

  • Cycle infrastructure upgrades (Introduction of “off road” cycle tracks)
  • Asphalt paving
  • Urbanization of Kingsway between Barry Downe Road and Falconbridge Road (new concrete sidewalk and curb on both sides of the roadway)
