Using GOVA Zone

Do I Need to Book A Ride?

Starting in a GOVA Zone service area?
Yes. Book your GOVA Zone ride at least 90 minutes before your scheduled connection at the Local Mobility Hub.

Starting on a conventional GOVA bus route?
No advance booking is required. Ask the Bus Operator for a GOVA Zone ride and ensure to ask for a transfer.   Present your transfer along with your destination address, to the GOVA Zone driver at the Local Mobility Hub.

Booking GOVA Zone

Book your ride by:

  • Calling 705-805-1300, or
  • Using the GOVA Zone Plus App

Bookings must be made at least 90 minutes before your scheduled connection time at the Local Mobility Hub. A 15-minute pickup window applies.

Note: If you require an accessible vehicle, please inform the GOVA Zone Dispatcher when booking your trip. This will help ensure that an appropriate accessible vehicle is assigned to accommodate your needs.

Waiting for Your Ride

When you book your trip, you will be given a 15-minute pickup window in which your vehicle may arrive. As GOVA Zone is a shared ride service, pickup and drop-off times may be adjusted within this 15-minute window. During this time, you must be ready and waiting at your designated pickup location in an area with a clear view of the street.

GOVA Zone drivers will wait up to five minutes after arriving at your pickup location. If the driver arrives before the start of your pickup window, they will wait until the beginning of the pickup window and up to five minutes into the window.

Travelling to Your Destination

If your trip starts on a conventional GOVA bus route:

  1. Board the conventional GOVA bus.
  2. Pay the regular $4.00 fare.
  3. If your destination requires a GOVA Zone connection, ensure to ask the Bus Operator for a GOVA Zone connection and ask for a GOVA Zone transfer.
  4. At the Local Mobility Hub, provide the transfer and address to the GOVA Zone driver.
  5. Continue to your destination.

If your trip starts in a GOVA Zone service area:

  1. Book your GOVA Zone ride by calling 705-805-1300, or using the GOVA Zone Plus App (at least 90 minutes before your scheduled connection)
  2. Take GOVA Zone to the Local Mobility Hub.
  3. Board the conventional GOVA bus and pay the regular $4.00 fare.
  4. If another GOVA Zone connection is required, ask the Bus Operator for a GOVA Zone transfer and present it to the connecting GOVA Zone driver
