GOVA Zone Service Update – Customer FAQ
Effective July 1, 2026
1. What is changing with GOVA Zone service, and why am I seeing a different vehicle?
Starting July 1, 2026, GOVA Zone service will no longer be provided by taxi vehicles. Instead, all trips will be delivered using GOVA Zone Plus branded minivans operated by Leuschen Transportation. As part of this transition, you may notice a different vehicle than the one previously used for your trips. The change is intended to provide a more consistent, reliable, and efficient service experience while maintaining the same level of service for customers.
2. Will my service change?
No. This change only affects the vehicles used to provide the service. There are no changes to:
- Service area
- Schedules
- How to request a ride
- How to pay for a ride
Customers can continue to book and use GOVA Zone service the same way they do today.
3. How do I book a GOVA Zone ride?
To book a ride or make an inquiry, call: 705-805-1300
You can also use the GOVA Zone Plus app to book and modify rides and track your vehicle in real time. To book and manage rides in the app, you will need to create an account using your email address. If you need assistance setting up your account, GOVA Zone Plus Dispatchers can help guide you through the process.
5. What type of vehicle will pick me up now?
You will be picked up by a GOVA Zone minivan with a uniformed driver, not a taxi.
6. What if I require an accessible vehicle?
If you require an accessible vehicle, please inform the GOVA Zone Dispatcher when booking your trip. This will help ensure that an appropriate accessible vehicle is assigned to accommodate your needs.
7. How do I pay my fare?
You will pay your fare to the connecting GOVA conventional bus as you do now.
8. Will my driver or booking experience change?
The process of booking and taking your trip remains consistent. Current GOVA Zone areas and schedules remain the same.
9. What should I do if I have questions?
