Waiting for Your Ride
When you book your ride, you will be given a 25-minute window of time in which your bus will arrive.
As GOVA Plus is a shared ride service, pick-up and drop-off times may be adjusted on the day of service within this 25-minute window. During this window, you must be ready and waiting in an area that has a clear view of the street.
If you live in an apartment, please wait in the lobby or common area with a clear view of the street. GOVA Plus bus operators will knock on your door, ring your doorbell, or buzz your apartment number only if they arrive more than 15 minutes after your scheduled pick-up time.
If you are waiting for your ride at a public facility, such as a medical office, school, place of work or hospital, please wait in the common waiting area or as close to the entrance as possible. GOVA Plus bus operator will come in an announce the name of the person they are picking up only if they arrive more than 15 minutes after the scheduled pick-up time or when performing a pick-up at a busier location.
If you have signed up for text message alerts you will receive text messages that will update you on when the bus is on its way to your location and when it arrives. If your bus will be late and will not arrive by the end of your 25-minute window, you will receive a text to notify you.
GOVA Plus app users will also be able to track and receive live updates on the location of their bus.
It is important that you are ready and waiting for your ride as GOVA Plus bus operators will wait only up to five minutes after they arrive at your pick-up location. If the driver arrives earlier than your pick-up window, the driver will wait for five minutes into your pick-up window.
After the five minute wait time has passed, the GOVA Plus bus operator will record a no-show cancellation. The return portion of your ride will automatically be cancelled by dispatch, unless they receive a call from you to reinstate the return ride booking as scheduled.
