Booking Your Trip

GOVA Plus provides transportation to registered users every day of the year between 7 a.m. and midnight.

To book a trip you will need the following information:

  • Your name
  • Your rider number
  • The date of your ride
  • The time you would like to be picked up
  • The purpose of your ride
  • The address where you will be picked up
  • The address of where you are going
  • The time you would like to be picked up from your destination
  • If you are travelling with a support person, guest/companion
  • If you are travelling with a service animal

Riders of GOVA Plus can book their trip in one of the following ways:

  • GOVA Plus app - The app can be downloaded by iPhone and Android users from the App Store or Google Play. A desktop version of the app is also available at https://book.govaplus.rideco.com/.  Once you have registered in the app, you will be able to book your ride and receive immediate confirmation of the time you can expect your bus to pick you up.
  • Email - You can book your trip by emailing booking@govaplus.ca. When booking by email, a reply email will confirm whether your ride can be accommodated as requested. If your requested time cannot be accommodated, options will be provided to you.
  • Telephone - You can book your trip by calling 705-670-2300, any day of the week between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m. After 9 p.m., the phone will be answered by a GOVA Plus bus operator who can only accept calls to cancel rides and calls for return from medical appointments. 

A GOVA Plus dispatcher will help you find the best pick-up time that works for you. If your chosen time is not available, you will be provided with alternative pick-up times. To avoid disappointment, try to book your rides at least two days in advance. Last minute / same day bookings are subject to system availability. 

Automated calls and texts will be sent to remind you of your upcoming bookings. Calls and texts will be sent from a new phone number, 647-496-1441. You will receive two notifications to remind you of your upcoming trip. The first will be 24 hours before your pick-up time to take you to your destination and the second will be 24 hours before the pick-up time for your return trip.

Please note:

  • GOVA Plus bus operators cannot accept passengers who have not been booked for a ride, including GOVA Plus clients, guests, and companions.
  • Bus operators are not permitted to make unscheduled stops. If you wish to stop at two or more destinations, you must book two or more rides.
