Applying for GOVA Plus
To ride on the GOVA Plus system, you must complete an application form to determine your eligibility for the service.
Eligibility for GOVA Plus is broken down into three categories based on the requirements of the Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulations 9/11under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005:

Unconditional Eligibility – all trips require specialized services as an individual’s level of disability completely prevents them from using conventional transit service.

Conditional Eligibility – trips taken by a person with disabilities who require specialized services under certain circumstances (i.e., where environmental or physical barriers limit a person’s ability to consistently use the conventional transit system).

Temporary Eligibility – all trips require specialized services for a limited duration of time (i.e., for a temporary disability such as during recovery from hip/knee surgery).
Applications for GOVA Plus can be completed by you the applicant, or by a person authorized to do so on your behalf.
