Where to Place Items For Collection

Year-round, please place any roadside waste items or bins as outlined below. This can include your garbage, Blue Box, Green Cart, leaf and yard waste, or bulky items.

Please place items:

• In a visible and accessible location
• On the ground, as close as possible to the roadway or sidewalk without being on either
• On level ground

Do not:

• Place items on the sidewalk or travelled roadway. This area must be kept clear for circulation and for road or sidewalk maintenance crews. This is especially important during winter months.
• Place items behind shrubs, fences or snow banks.
• Place items on top of snow banks. You can place items on your driveway or in a cleared section of a snowbank. Shovel an area that is flat and place your items there for accessibility and safety, and to prevent items from falling, slipping or tipping over.
