Saturday, May 2, 2026 – Annual 2-Hour Clean Up Blitz
The City of Greater Sudbury is inviting residents to show community pride by participating in a two-hour Clean Up Blitz from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 2, 2026. Participants are asked to do their part by spending two hours picking up roadside litter.
Participants must pre-register by April 24, 2026. No late registrations will be accepted. You can register your group by:
- Filling out the online registration package, or
- Downloading the PDF registration package (PDF, 1,444 KB) and emailing it to wastemanagement@greatersudbury.ca, or visiting a Citizen Service Centre to assist in sending us a completed form.
Safety vests, gloves and garbage bags will be supplied. Please note that safety vests must be returned after the event.
All participants must review safety tips and sign a waiver. Waivers can be submitted to the City after the event. Tips and waivers are part of the PDF registration package linked above, and copies of each are below, individually:
- Clean Up Blitz Safety Tips (PDF, 674 KB)
- Clean Up Blitz Consent, Release and Waiver form - Adult (PDF, 631 KB)
- Clean Up Blitz Consent, Release and Waiver form - Youth (PDF, 721 KB)
Names of participants listed on the waiver forms will have their names entered in a draw to win prizes.
Residents who are not able to participate in this year’s Clean up Blitz can still do their part to keep our city clean. Residents can sign up to complete one-time clean ups, or can adopt-a-road, adopt-a-spot or adopt-a-bin.
