Non-Residential Composting Program

Residential and non-residential roadside waste collection services will be rescheduled. Please do not place garbage, green carts or blue boxes at the roadside, as this may impact road clearing efforts. Alternate pickup dates will be communicated once available. We will provide an update once bulky item collection service has been restored.

Due to the winter storm event, furniture, appliance and electronic collection services are also temporarily suspended. Please do not place these items at the roadside, in laneways or on top of snowbanks, as they may impact snow clearing operations.

New Green Cart requests have also been suspended.

All landfill sites and the Recycling Centre are closed.

If your non-residential unit (hair salon, church, small store etc.) generates small amounts of Green Cart organics you can sign up for our Yellow Cart program to have your non-residential organics collected each week.

Our Yellow Cart program allows you to put out a maximum of three yellow organic carts at the roadside each week. Materials placed in the Yellow Carts must be contained in a tied certified compostable bag or compostable paper bag.

Your non-residential unit (hair salon, church, small store etc.) must be located on a residential organic collection route to be eligible.
