What if I'm in the process of getting plans drawn up based on the current 12m setback?

The changes to the setback provisions came into effect on February 1, 2022. If you were not able to submit before they came into effect you can apply for a minor variance to seek approval for the setback you are proposing or revise your plans to meet the current provisions. Building Permits must have been issued on or before January 31, 2022 or they are subject to the new provisions which came into effect on February 1, 2022.
