What can you do?

  • Take simple steps to conserve energy. Turn off and unplug devices when they're not in use and air-dry your clothes.
  • Make minor upgrades to your apartment or house, like switching to a programmable thermostat and energy efficient appliances that are ENERGY STAR® certified.
  • If you're able to make bigger upgrades to your home, consider things like more efficient windows, furnace, and insulation.
  • If you're thinking of moving, consider a smaller home or a multi-unit dwelling. It's more efficient when you don't have excess space to heat or cool!
  • Have your say! During public input opportunities, ask for new public buildings to meet passive standards.
