Personal Suitability
Volunteer Firefighters should be:
- comfortable with small or tight spaces
- comfortable with heights
- calm under pressure
- good at following and understanding directions
- willing to wear a pager while available for calls
- respond to calls at all hours of the day and night, in all weather conditions
- physically capable of performing the required duties of a firefighter
- able to commit to time for training, responding to emails, reviewing operating procedures
