Trap, Neuter, Return Program
In 2017, the City of Greater Sudbury began a trap, neuter and return program to control the local population of feral cats.
Approved rescue groups will be authorized to trap feral cats and, have them spayed/neutered and microchipped before being released back to the same area where they were captured. When appropriate, feral cats may be euthanized in a humane manner.
How to Apply
Participation in the program will be limited to applications submitted by rescue groups approved by the City of Greater Sudbury. Potential recovery of eligible costs will be negotiated at that time.
Rescue groups may also manage feral cat colonies which have congregated in an identified area.
