Requirements for all locations
- Outdoor patios, sidewalk retail and cafés must have a business licence or registration issued by the City of Greater Sudbury.
- Outdoor patios, sidewalk retail and cafés must provide confirmation that all licensing requirements normally required to operate their business have been met (e.g. Fire Services, Public Health, Liquor Licence etc.)
- Business owners must provide a Certificate of insurance of $2 million naming the City of Greater Sudbury as 3rd Party Insured when operating on a public road allowance.
- All businesses must follow Public Health requirements..
- Outdoor patios, sidewalk retail and cafés must provide access to indoor washrooms for both patrons and staff.
- Outdoor speakers and/or sound systems are not permitted.
- Smoking is not permitted in spaces occupied by outdoor patios, sidewalk retail and cafés. All requirements of the Smoke Free Ontario Act must be maintained.
- Exterior signs must adhere to the City of Greater Sudbury Sign Bylaw.
- Applicants must agree to abide by all other pertinent municipal bylaws.
- The City of Greater Sudbury has the right to suspend permissions based on unresolved complaints.
