Fraud

Fraud is a wrongful or criminal deception that results, or has the potential to result, in financial or personal gain. 

Examples include: 

• Forgery; 
• Irregularities in handling or reporting financial transactions; 
• Unauthorized use or misuse of City property, equipment, materials, or records; 
• Misuse of City-owned computers, hardware, software, or systems; 
• Improper expense reimbursement claims; 
• Irregular benefit claims.
