City Celebrates Public Works Week with an Open House

The City of Greater Sudbury is celebrating Public Works Week from May 17 to 23, and you're invited to join us for a special open house on Saturday, May 23, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 1800 Frobisher St.

This free, family-friendly event is a chance to meet the teams who maintain our roads and City infrastructure, transportation networks, forestry services, garbage collection and more. Staff from a range of departments, including Roads, Distribution and Collection, Engineering Services, Traffic and Transportation, Forestry, the Sign Shop and Environmental, will be on hand to showcase their work and the equipment they use every day to serve our community.

Highlights include:

•    Equipment displays and hands-on demonstrations
•    Educational exhibits
•    Swag giveaways
•    Information about career opportunities with the City’s Public Works team
