2026 National Day for Truth and Reconciliation Municipal Service Schedule

Several municipal services will be closed to the public for the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on Wednesday, September 30, 2026:
•    Tom Davies Square
•    Greater Sudbury Public Library branches (including Citizen Service Centres)
•    Municipal pools and fitness facilities
•    Greater Sudbury Animal Shelter
•    Landfill and waste transfer sites
 
Waste Services
The Recycling Centre, landfill and waste transfer sites will be open. Roadside residential waste collection that would normally occur on Wednesday, September 30 will instead take place on Saturday, October 3, 2026.
 
GOVA Transit
GOVA routes will operate on the regular service schedule.
 
311 Services
311 will be available for urgent calls only. The 311 live web chat and email are not answered outside of regular business hours. Register to submit service requests at any time on the customer service portal at 311.greatersudbury.ca or email 311@greatersudbury.ca.
