Fire Services Conducting Annual Fire Engine Pump Testing

Greater Sudbury Fire Services will be conducting fire engine pump testing at 506 Elizabeth St. for approximately two weeks. 

Pump testing will take place from Monday, August 14 to Friday, August 18 and Monday, August 21 to Thursday, August 24. There will be periods of increased noise between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on these dates.

Residents are asked to avoid the immediate area both on the shore and on the water during these times as pump testing activities require access to the lake.

Pump testing is conducted annually to ensure the pumps in fire engines and pumpers meet or exceed the standards set out by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).
