This design and plan bring us one step closer to creating a cultural hub in the downtown, a unique space where people can connect, learn and create. Junction East will bring residents and families together and draw tourism and investment to our community.” – Mayor of Greater Sudbury

“The Art Gallery of Sudbury is thrilled to be working with the City of Greater Sudbury, and other partners to incorporate our dream of building a new Art Gallery into the reality that is Junction East. The Gallery is a gathering space for everyone to discover, experience and create art. Working with partners also focused on community building further elevates this aspirational goal. Realizing Junction East allows us to advance new opportunities that reflect, honour, and celebrate the diversity, richness, and art stories of the communities we all serve.” – Paula Gouveia and Robin Craig, Co-chairs of the Art Gallery Board of Directors

“For decades, the Greater Sudbury Public Library Board has had a vision to build an inspiring, inclusive, and efficient central library facility that meets the needs of our community. We can now see that vision becoming a reality in the Junction East project. This facility will be a hub for learning and innovation, a representation of who we are as a city. Unlike other landmarks however, Junction East will be a space that is free and open to everyone; a destination that will invite the community to gather and to connect.” – Michael Bellmore, Chair, Greater Sudbury Public Library Board

“The Sudbury Multicultural and Folk Arts Association (SMFAA) is an umbrella organization that connects over 30,000 citizens of Greater Sudbury to various community organizations and resources. By expanding into the Junction East Cultural Hub, we are connecting to community partners with similar values and valuable resources to offer. This opportunity will equip SMFAA with the tools to thrive and continue to provide essential services to our Newcomers.” – Bela Ravi, Chair, Sudbury Multicultural and Folk Arts Association

“For 50 years, the Sudbury Theatre Centre has been a pillar in Greater Sudbury. Our mission is to create extraordinary theatre that engages and entertains, with a focus on celebrating what northern Ontario has to offer, and we would be able to elevate that mission by being part of the cultural hub that is Junction East. We are excited about what this partnership will mean for the next 50 years of the STC.” – Patricia Meehan - Chair, Sudbury Theatre Centre
