Distribution of Ontario Works Benefit Cheques during Canada Post Rotating Strikes

The City of Greater Sudbury is prepared to distribute cheques for Ontario Works benefits during disruptions to postal service. Clients are reminded that photo identification is required when picking up their cheques.

Benefits paid through direct bank deposit will be processed as usual. Bank statements will be mailed.

Clients who usually receive their cheques by mail may pick up their November benefit between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. on the following dates:

• Tuesday, October 30: 199 Larch Street, 9^th Floor, Sudbury
• Wednesday, October 31: 199 Larch Street, Boardroom B, Main Floor,  Sudbury
• Thursday, November 1: 199 Larch Street, Boardroom B, Main Floor,  Sudbury

Cheques for vendors and direct payments to landlords will be distributed by mail.
