Community Consultation for Whitewater Lake Subwatershed Study and Master Plan

The City of Greater Sudbury will begin the second of a series of consultation sessions for the Whitewater Lake subwatershed study. The second public open house will take place on June 28 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Lionel E. Lalonde Centre, Room 106, located at 239 Montée Principale, Azilda.

Our water resources are an important aspect of daily living in our community. From drinking water for our residents and animals, to supporting habitat for our plants and wildlife, as well as providing great recreation opportunities, protecting our watersheds has been identified as a priority in the City of Greater Sudbury’s Official Plan.

This second consultation session is aimed at identifying and confirming management objectives and targets for the subwatershed as well as alternative solutions for the watershed for future evaluation.
