Skate Exchange Program Needs Skates

If you have a pair of skates in good condition that need a new home, please donate them to the Skate Exchange Program being sponsored by the City of Greater Sudbury and the Sudbury & District Health Unit.
The Skate Exchange program can provide participants with a free pair of skates to encourage fun, healthy activities this winter. You don't need to donate skates to participate in the program. Anyone who would like a pair is welcome to participate.
The following places are accepting donated skates during regular business hours:
- Tom Davies Square (Citizen Service Centre),
- Centre de santé communautaire du Grand Sudbury,
- Sudbury & District Health Unit,
- YMCA Sudbury, the Human League Association
Arenas:
- Cambrian
- Capreol
- Carmichael
- Centennial
- Toe Blake
- Countryside
- Dr. Edgar Leclair
- Garson
- IJ Coady
- McClelland
- Ray Plourde
- TM Davies
We have two upcoming Skate Exchange Program dates:
- Saturday, January 7, 2017, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Royal Canadian Legion, Lockerby Branch 564 (2200 Long Lake Rd., Sudbury)
- Monday, February 20, 2017, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Terry Fox Complex, next to Collège Boréal (17 Lasalle Blvd., Sudbury)
Skates are given out on a first-come, first serve basis, and sizes and quantities will vary.
