Canada Day Weekend Municipal Service Schedule

The following is the municipal service schedule for the Canada Day holiday weekend:

Saturday, July 1

• Citizen Service Centres and libraries will be closed.
• Garbage and recycling collection are unaffected by this holiday. Landfills and the Recycling Centre will be open. 
• Pools and Greater Sudbury fitness facilities, with the exception of the Capreol Millennium Resource Centre, will be closed.
• Greater Sudbury Transit routes will follow Sunday and Holiday service schedules.
• Canada Day Celebration shuttle service will be provided by Greater Sudbury Transit. Buses will depart the transit terminal and the Southridge Mall TSC Hardware entrance every 30 minutes from 11:45 a.m. to 9:45 p.m. to bring passengers to Science North. Return trips begin after the fireworks at approximately 10:45 p.m. until 11:15 p.m. Fare is $1 per person and includes the return trip. Connecting service to other parts of the city will depart from the downtown Transit terminal. For more information, please contact Greater Sudbury Transit at 705-675-3333.

Sunday, July 2

• Greater Sudbury pools will be closed.

Monday, July 3

• Tom Davies Square will be closed.
• Citizen Service Centres and libraries will be closed.
• Greater Sudbury Animal Shelter will be closed to the public.
• Operating hours for Greater Sudbury fitness facilities vary by location. Please contact individual facilities or visit www.greatersudbury.ca/fitness-centres for additional information.
• Greater Sudbury pools will be closed.
