Outdoor Rink Volunteers
The City of Greater Sudbury is seeking more volunteers to maintain and operate the following outdoor rinks:
- Cedar Park - Normandy Crt., Sudbury
- Central Lane - Central Lane, Garson
- Coté Park - 215 Edward St., Chelmsford
- Don Lita - Brookfield Ave., Sudbury
- McFarlane Lake - Pioneer Rd., Sudbury
- McLean - McLean St., Sudbury
- Rosemarie - Montfort St., Sudbury
- Russel Beaudry - Juniper Ave., - Onaping
- Ryan Heights - Ryan Heights, Sudbury
- Theresa - Carmen St., Hanmer
- Wahnapitae Community Centre - Wahnapitae
Neighbourhood volunteers are responsible for scraping, shoveling, and flooding the rinks, ensuring the fieldhouse is open, and may also operate the canteen. At certain locations, volunteers are also involved in special events, such as carnivals and fundraising activities. The City of Greater Sudbury supports local volunteers with funding and equipment to help carry out these duties.
