What will be built on these properties?

The new Event Centre is being built on a portion of this land. The remaining areas will be available for redevelopment, increasing our capacity to respond to new opportunities and support the growth of an economic hub. Decisions regarding specific future land uses will undergo further consideration.

The revised and updated 2026 Downtown Master Plan  envisions elevating the land south of Brady Street as a regional destination for entertainment, arts, events and recreation. Investments in the area will allow us to build on the synergies among existing amenities and publicly owned sites that have been identified as well-suited for new cultural uses.
