Dangerous items or materials

For the safety of the public the following are not permitted on board GOVA Transit: 

• Prohibited weapons and firearms, including but not limited to, an air gun, air rifle, pellet gun, pellet rifle, paintball gun, gas charged gun, gas charged rifle, imitation firearm, an offensive weapon or a prohibited weapon; or

• Explosives, fireworks, pyrotechnical material, flammable material, radioactive materials, offensive or toxic material, reactive and acidic chemicals, or any other dangerous thing, object or material.

• Gasoline, diesel, reactive and acidic chemicals, and containers carrying these materials, toxic and combustible/explosive materials, such as wet-cell batteries, propane tanks and gasoline containers.

• Large or bulk items, including but not limited to appliances, large electronic devices such as TV’s, large moving boxes, furniture, large carts, or any other bulky item that requires an amount of space equal to or larger than the space of one passenger.

Individuals found with these items in their possession may be asked to leave the bus. If the item is deemed as a threat to others, the proper authorities will be notified.
