Who can use an AED?

Anyone can use an AED. You do not need to be a transit driver, a paramedic, or hold a first-aid certification. AEDs are designed to be used by members of the public as well as trained responders.

The device provides clear voice and visual prompts to guide the rescuer through the entire process.
