Can an AED be used on a child?

Yes. The ZOLL AED 3 can be used on both adults and children. To treat a child under eight years old or weighing less than 55 pounds, press the clearly marked Child Mode button on the front of the device. The AED will automatically adjust its prompts and electrical energy levels and provide clear voice and visual instructions throughout the process.
