Where to Place Items For Collection
Residential and non-residential roadside waste collection services will be rescheduled. Please do not place garbage, green carts or blue boxes at the roadside as this may impact road clearing efforts.
Alternate pickup dates will be communicated once available.
All landfill sites and the Recycling Center are closed.
- In a visible location on the ground as close as possible to the roadway (not behind shrubs, fences or snow banks)
- On level ground
Do not:
- Place items on top of snow banks. Shovel an area that is flat and place your items there to prevent items from falling, slipping or tipping over. This is very important for appliances that contain Chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs).
- Place items on the sidewalk or travelled roadway. This area must be kept clear for road or sidewalk maintenance crews. This is especially important during winter months.
If you can't meet the above-noted requirements, then the items can't be placed out for collection and should then be delivered directly to the landfill site.
