What happens if my call is considered "low priority"?

If your condition is not life-threatening, you may wait longer for an ambulance during peak times when emergency resources are focused on critical calls. You do not need to stay on the line once you have received instructions from the dispatcher.

For lower priority calls, a follow-up system is in place. Callers may receive a callback within approximately 30 minutes for orange priority calls, and within 60 minutes for yellow and green priority calls to reassess the situation.

If the patient’s condition changes at any time, call 911 again immediately.
