Thank a Paramedic

Thank a Paramedic

The City of Greater Sudbury and Greater Sudbury Paramedic Services are launching a new initiative to help connect members of the public with the paramedics who may have provided them with life-saving care.

Often, due to privacy laws (PHIPA), our paramedics' circle of care officially ends when a patient is transferred to the hospital. This means that while our dedicated teams are deeply invested in the outcomes of the individuals they assist, they don't always have the opportunity to learn about their patient's recovery or hear from them directly.

Recognizing the desire for patients and their families to express gratitude or share their stories, particularly in instances of prehospital cardiac arrest saves, we've created a way for you to connect.

Are you a cardiac arrest survivor?

If you or a loved one had a cardiac arrest, were assisted by Greater Sudbury Paramedic Services and you wish to share your story or express your thanks, please use the secure forms linked below. This will allow us to receive your message and, where appropriate and with consent, share your appreciation with the paramedics involved.

This process ensures that your privacy is respected while providing a much-appreciated connection for our frontline responders.

The cardiac arrest save recognition program allows our community to acknowledge the incredible work of our paramedics. We look forward to facilitating these important connections.
