This station is staffed by volunteer firefighters. Volunteer firefighters don’t reside in the station. They are notified of emergency calls at their homes or workplaces and report to the station before responding. All firefighters are trained according to current regulations and Council-approved service levels.

Future Plans

Staff have been directed to construct a new fire and paramedic station in Garson at an ideal location with costs included in the draft 2024-2027 capital budget.
