Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Placements in Greater Sudbury
Community Consultation and Data Collection 2024/25
In 2024 and 2025, Children Services supported the Student Placement Mentorship Support Committee to implement a stakeholder consultation about the system of ECE placements in Greater Sudbury.
The consultation included three online surveys – one for students, one for Registered Early Childhood Educators (RECEs) who mentor students and one for Early Learning Centre managers and executive directors. It also included data collection from administrators of post-secondary ECE programs. Over 100 individuals shared their thoughts and experiences.
