How can I apply?

Applications can be submitted by email to buildingservices@pronto.greatersudbury.ca.   

  1. Applicant is to provide a request on company letterhead (for businesses only), requesting of the office of the Chief Building Official for a Letter of Interpretation. Please note: this application can be submitted by email and does not require a formal hard copy by mail.

The letter should be addressed to:

  1. The letter of request should include:
    • Property Address
    • Legal Description (if known)
    • Zoning of the property (if known)
    • Existing Use(s) of the property
    • A detailed description of the Existing and Proposed Use(s) of the property (in full) including any proposed construction or uses that may impact this application.
    • Contact Information of the applicant (i.e. Business Name/Address & Primary Contact)
    • Definitions from the current Zoning By-law (Zoning By-law 2010-100Z that the applicant is seeking to confirm in alignment with their Proposed Use(s).
