Parking Standards Review
To support compact and climate-resilient housing, the City is updating its parking policies to reduce or eliminate parking requirements for small-scale residential projects. Changes include:
- Reduced parking for multiplexes and four-plexes
- Supports more walkable, transit-friendly communities by reducing parking requirements and promoting the use of active transportation and public transit
This initiative helps make small infill housing more viable, reduces construction costs and encourages smarter use of land in neighborhoods with easy access to services.
