Affordable Housing and Home Energy Concierge
The Affordable Housing and Home Energy Concierge is a new position funded through HAF to provide personalized navigation support for developers, non-profit organizations and homeowners interested in building housing. The Concierge offers guidance on:
- Planning approvals and building permits
- Funding opportunities for affordable housing and home energy upgrades
- City incentive programs (e.g., Community Improvement Plan grants, Development Charge (DC) exemptions and/or reductions)
- Application support for CMHC and provincial funding streams
The Concierge also leads the City’s education and outreach efforts to build awareness of programs and reduce barriers to participation.
