Litter Clean Up Programs
Residential and non-residential roadside waste collection services will be rescheduled. Please do not place garbage, green carts or blue boxes at the roadside, as this may impact road clearing efforts. Alternate pickup dates will be communicated once available. We will provide an update once bulky item collection service has been restored.
Due to the winter storm event, furniture, appliance and electronic collection services are also temporarily suspended. Please do not place these items at the roadside, in laneways or on top of snowbanks, as they may impact snow clearing operations.
New Green Cart requests have also been suspended.
All landfill sites and the Recycling Centre are closed.
The City of Greater Sudbury urges all citizens to do their part to help keep our city clean and free of litter.
We have developed many programs to help control litter and maintain approximately 190 recycling and waste litter containers around the community.
Clean up Greater Sudbury
The Clean Up Greater Sudbury Program plans, manages and promotes clean up initiatives to keep Greater Sudbury clean and to revitalize community pride and to create litter awareness throughout the city.
The program includes individuals, businesses, organizations, schools and City departments.
