2026 Canada Day Municipal Service Schedule

Several municipal services will be closed to the public on Canada Day, Wednesday, July 1, 2026:
•    Tom Davies Square
•    Greater Sudbury Public Library branches (including Citizen Service Centres)
•    Municipal pools and fitness facilities
•    Greater Sudbury Animal Shelter

Waste Services 
The Recycling Centre, landfills and waste transfer sites will be open. Roadside collection of household waste normally scheduled for Wednesday, July 1 will instead take place on Saturday, July 4, 2026.

GOVA Transit 
GOVA routes will operate on a holiday service schedule.

311 Services 
311 will be available for urgent calls only. The 311 live web chat and email are not answered outside of regular business hours. Register to submit service requests at any time on the Customer Service Portal at 311.greatersudbury.ca or email 311@greatersudbury.ca.
