This Week at The Market: The Sudbury Camino and Greater Sudbury Public Library visit the Saturday Market

York Street Location – Thursday, August 9, from 2 to 6 p.m.

The York Street Market continues to offer a great variety of goods from local vendors. Pick up fresh local produce and delicious baked goods for your weekend getaway. Find unique handcrafted items including natural soaps, beauty products and jewelry.

Take your afternoon snack or early dinner to new heights with delicious specials from our vegan chefs.The Busy V is offering five phyllo tarts for the price of four. Choose from tasty baklava, or spinach and caramelized onion. Vegspiration101 will have gooey delicious mac and cheese balls served with ranch aioli or buffalo sauce.

Elgin Street Location – Saturday, August 11, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Greater Sudbury Public Library will be at The Market from 10:30 a.m. to noon. Join Miss Tammy for story time with the Very Hungry Caterpillar, an interactive scavenger hunt, and crafts. Fun for the whole family!

The Sudbury Camino, hosted by Rainbow Routes Association, will be making a stop at The Market this weekend. Inspired by the famous El Camino de Santiago pilgrimage routes, the Sudbury Camino is a 28 kilometre journey beginning at Fielding Park and ending at Moonlight Beach. Participants will be able to recharge at The Market with the City’s Water Buggy as well as an abundance of local offerings.

Join over 15 produce vendors for fresh, seasonal fruits and vegetables including local, wild blueberries, local raspberries, Niagara peaches and cherries, local sweet carrots, lettuce, zucchini, beans and peas, cucumbers, garlic, potatoes, broccoli, and southern Ontario corn. Also visit over 30 vendors for local chicken and alpaca, handmade baked goods, preserves, all natural soaps, jewelry, handmade clothing, children’s toys and household accessories. The Market has something for everyone!
