Community Tree Planting
Help Grow Greater Sudbury’s Urban Forest!
Looking for a way to get outdoors, give back and help make our community greener?
The City of Greater Sudbury is inviting residents to join City Forestry staff for a community tree planting this September. Together, participants will help plant approximately 80–100 trees in parks and green spaces across Lively, Whitefish and Naughton.
Tree planting locations include:
- Sixth Avenue Playground – Lively
- Fielding Memorial Park – Lively
- Centennial Park – Whitefish
- Simon Lake Park – Naughton

8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
No previous tree-planting experience is required. City Forestry staff will be on site to provide instruction and lead the planting activities.
