72 Hour Emergency Kit

You should have a 72 hour emergency kit ready so you can take care of yourself for a minimum of 72 hours (three days). Make sure your kit is portable so you can bring it where you need to go.

  • GO Bag Evacuation Kit
  • Water (at least 4 litres of water per person per day for drinking, cooking, and cleaning)
  • Non-perishable food
  • Manual can opener
  • Sleeping bag / blanket
  • Change of clothing (seasonally appropriate)
  • Garbage bags (for disposal of used items)
  • Toilet paper
  • Safety gloves
  • Basic tools (hammer, pliers, wrench, screwdriver)
  • Dust mask
  • Activities for children (books, cards, toys)
