Reaching out to newcomers in our community

On June 12^th, Children Services section took part in a free, family-centred event at Science North hosted by CGS Economic Development Department for newcomers to our area.

There were over 400 people in attendance, primarily those who just became permanent residents.  The team provided information on the Child Care Registry, the City’s Licensed Child Care and recreation partners, child care fee subsidy, EarlyON Child and Family Centres, becoming a licensed home child care provider, and ECE school programs through Cambrian and College Boreal.
