2023 Civic Holiday Municipal Service Schedule

The following is the municipal service schedule for the Civic Holiday on Monday, August 7: 

• Libraries, Citizen Service Centres, Tom Davies Square and the Greater Sudbury Animal Shelter are closed.
• Greater Sudbury pools and fitness facilities are closed.
• Landfills and transfer sites are closed.
• The Recycling Centre is open.
• Collection of garbage, recycling, compost and leaf and yard trimmings is not affected.
• GOVA Transit will follow holiday routes and schedules. For information, visit www.greatersudbury.ca/holidays or call 311.
• City social media accounts are not monitored regularly during weekends and statutory holidays.

Greater Sudbury Fire Services has declared Monday, August 7, an additional permitted day to discharge fireworks. People will be permitted to set off fireworks, provided property owners are compliant with the City’s fireworks by-law, which identifies regulations and restrictions.
